Core Pipeline program is a central repository of supplies mechanism that aims to strengthen the country different humanitarian sectors capacity to respond to critical humanitarian needs, assuring harmonization of items, sustained availability of core items, cost-efficiency due to economies of scale, and enabling uniform and coordinated responses.
IOM South Sudan has been supporting both S/NFI and WASH Clusters and partners in managing the S/NFI and WASH supplies, which provides a reliable, cost-effective and steady stream of quality materials to partners for distribution to crisis-affected populations across the country. In addition to providing stock for immediate distribution, the IOM Core Pipeline pre-positioned humanitarian aid materials in strategic locations across the country to further facilitate rapid deployment of life-saving items.
